MAS MobiSales™ Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This policy explains what the MAS MobiSales™ mobile app ("the app") collects, why, and where it goes. The app is published by MAS Technologies LLC ("MAS", "we", "us") for Android and iOS. It covers the app only. Our website has its own privacy policy.

1. Who is responsible for your data

MAS MobiSales™ is the mobile companion to eMAS ERP™ and is used by the staff of companies that run eMAS ERP™. There is no public sign-up: your account is created and managed by your employer's eMAS ERP™ administrator.

Your employer is the controller of its business records and of your account. MAS processes that data on your employer's behalf and on its instructions, under its service agreement with us.

2. What the app collects, why, and where it goes

Your account details

Your user name, name, sales-person ID and company code. They identify you to your company's system, and to us when you ask for support.

Where: your company's eMAS backend.

Location

Your precise location, and only while the app is open. It is used to show customers near you on a map, and to save a customer's location when you choose to. You can turn the location permission off at any time in your phone's settings; the map features won't work while it is off.

Where: your company's eMAS backend. Map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap and MapTiler, which see the area of the map being shown.

Camera and photos: cheques and documents

When you scan a cheque or a document, the text is read on your phone. The photo is not sent anywhere to be read. Cheque photos never leave the phone. A document photo is uploaded only when you save it to the customer's record.

Where: your company's eMAS backend, for saved documents only.

Fingerprint, face or phone PIN

The app can ask you to unlock it with your fingerprint, face or phone PIN. This is handled entirely by your phone. The app only learns whether the unlock succeeded, and never receives your fingerprint, face data or PIN.

Phone security checks

To protect your company's data, the app checks on your phone whether Developer options are on, whether the phone is rooted or jailbroken, whether it is running in an emulator, and whether a screen lock is set. If a check fails, the app doesn't open. The results of these checks stay on your phone.

Crash reports and app diagnostics

When the app crashes or something goes wrong, and to measure how quickly screens load, the app sends technical diagnostics to Sentry, our error-monitoring provider (hosted in the European Union). These include the device model, operating system and app version, the screens you used and the requests the app made just before the problem, technical logs, and a recording of the app's screens in which all text and images are masked so that customer names, amounts and documents can't be seen. They are linked to your sales-person ID so we can fix problems you report. Sentry keeps them for a limited period and then deletes them automatically.

On-device text recognition (Google ML Kit)

The app reads scanned text with Google ML Kit, which runs on your phone. ML Kit does not send the photos or the text it reads. Like other Google SDKs it sends Google basic diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, a random identifier for the app installation, performance figures and error codes. Google uses them to keep ML Kit working and to improve it.

Problem reports you choose to send

If you use "Report a problem", the app prepares an email that you send yourself from your own email app; nothing is sent until you tap Send. The report can include a screenshot of the screen you were on (which may show customer information), any files you attach, your name and company, the app version and device model, and the screens you used before the problem. The app shows what will be included and asks for your agreement first. Reports go to our support team and into our issue tracker (Linear).

Stored only on your phone

Your preferences (for example light or dark theme) and copies of your customer list and product catalogue so you can browse them without a connection. Your sign-in is kept in the phone's secure storage. All of this is removed from the phone when you sign out.

3. What we don't do

  • The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising software.
  • It doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • We don't sell your data, or use it to build advertising profiles.
  • We don't use your data for anything other than providing the app, supporting you, and keeping the app working and secure.

4. Who processes the data for us

  • Supabase: hosts the app's backend. Its servers may be outside your country.
  • Sentry: crash reports and app diagnostics (European Union).
  • Google: ML Kit diagnostics, as described above.
  • Linear: our issue tracker, for problem reports you send.
  • OpenStreetMap and MapTiler: map images.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us.

5. Security

All data the app sends is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sign-in details are kept in the phone's secure storage, and the app won't run on phones that fail the security checks in section 2.

6. How long data is kept

Your account and your company's business records are kept for as long as your company uses eMAS ERP™, and afterwards as set out in its service agreement with MAS. Crash reports and diagnostics are deleted automatically after a limited period. Problem reports are kept for as long as needed to resolve the problem.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You can turn off location and camera permissions in your phone's settings at any time.
  • To see, correct or delete your personal data, ask your company's eMAS ERP™ administrator, or contact us as below.

8. Deleting your account and data

You don't need to sign in to request deletion. Either ask your company's administrator, or email contact@mas-technology.com with the subject "MAS MobiSales account deletion" from your registered email address, giving your company name and user name. We will confirm the request with your company and complete it within 30 days. Business records held in your company's eMAS ERP™ system are your company's, and are kept or deleted under its own retention policy.

9. Children

The app is for business use by adults and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
